The Boedecker Foundation
Collaborative Campus
Serving our Community Partners through Placemaking
The Boe Campus sits on 2.5 acres at a centrally located intersection—Porter and Riverside—in the diverse and vibrant neighborhood of Inglewood in East Nashville.
The vision of our chairman, George Boedecker, this multi-year development is owned and managed by the Boedecker Foundation. It includes a world-class music and event venue, leasable office space, an early childhood development center, and a culinary training kitchen, all built with the intention of providing gorgeous spaces at below-market rates for organizations that are serving the Middle Tennessee community.
Often the number one expense (and challenge) for many community organizations is finding the space to meet and serve. Our campus is providing not only a critical office and meeting space for our community partners, but it is also giving them access to each other as a way to share resources and critical services to those most in need.

Nikki Mitchell Foundation
Nikki Mitchell, President of the enterprises of country music legends Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, saw only great possibilities in life and others. Nikki was an adventurer, having circumnavigated the northern hemisphere as co-captain in a single-engine aircraft. She loved animals and taking care of friends and neighbors.
In December 2010, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given a three-month prognosis. After her passing, a group of country music artists, friends, and family started a foundation, the Nikki Mitchell Foundation, to keep her last dream of saving others from the devastating disease of pancreatic cancer alive.
Patchwork
Seeking to empower our community by providing meals, mutual aid and mentorship to help achieve economic sustainability and work towards systemic change for a more equitable industry.
“I was hired to be a Chef at Audrey (Chef Sean Brocks flagship restaurant in East Nashville, opening October 2021). Being unable to open during the pandemic so we decided to utilize our kitchen to serve our community. We partnered with Rethink, a nonprofit based in NY, to serve 2,000 free meals a week and have been doing this since September 2020, recently passing 100,000 meals served. I've felt so fulfilled with this work and have made so many amazing connections that I decided to start Patchwork to continue serving these meals for as long as we can. Our goal is to partner with other organizations in and around Nashville to amplify each others missions and to serve delicious Chef prepared meals to as many people as possible!” - Benjamin Tyson, Director
