Anthony H. Kruse Foundation hosts a Colorado-based Grantee Luncheon | January 2008

Founder and CEO of the Anthony H. Kruse Foundation, George B. Boedecker Jr. was on hand to meet the 2008 Foundation grantees at a luncheon at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder, Colorado.

Jeff Humphrey, the Chief Operating Officer was on hand to welcome the new grantees and to share the Foundation story, including a video highlighting the impact on grantees. Grantees in attendance were: Alliance for Choice in Education (ACE), Building on Life’s Disappointments (BOLD), the Community Foundation of Boulder County, Colorado Uplift, Denver Area Youth Services (DAYS), and the Family Learning Center. AHK’s Senior Grant Management Consultant, Kate Pace Lindsay, shared the mission and vision of the Foundation, and articulated the relationships with current partners. The 2008 grantees share a similar mission of the AHK Foundation to assist to empowering youth, their families and their community to realize their highest potential.

The 2008 AHK Foundation Grantees where introduced and presented with their grant checks with a challenge from the Founder and CEO, George B. Boedecker. George’s passion is to partner not only with like-minded organizations within Colorado, but to encourage these partners to collaborate with other groups and organizations to maximize their impact on the lives of children, teens, and their families. Mr. Boedecker stated that the main purpose for the luncheon was to provide an opportunity for the Colorado-based organizations to recognize ways in which they might work together–sharing insights and resources–to discover ways to work together towards a similar goal.
