The Westchester Rotary Foundation was established in 1988 to further the charitable works of the Club including, but not limited to, the local Westchester community. The Foundation offers the members of the Club and the community a permanent vehicle to receive tax deductible contributions and initiate and fund worthwhile projects on a year-round basis. The Foundation continues to support all the projects that the Club has supported through the years. The YMCA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, senior citizens, youth scholars, the Polio corrective Surgery Project and other community programs will all benefit. The Westchester Rotary Foundation allows a broader base for contributions and a permanent method for receiving and disbursing funds. Gifts from estates, ongoing donor programs, businesses, other foundations and fundraising programs will allow the Foundation to increase annual expenditures for traditional projects as well as establish an endowment fund that will grow to meet future needs. Because the Foundation is a qualified non-profit charitable organization, gifts are, of course, tax deductible. People give to the Westchester Rotary Foundation for many different reasons. They have a firm belief in our purpose of providing community service, encouraging high vocational and educational standards for our youth and building international goodwill and peace.
