Basketball may seem purely recreational, but Trinity SAS programs successfully integrate sports and character building activities. Through the cooperative sport of basketball, Trinity SAS will help teach 40 youth goal setting, better communications, problem solving, self discipline, how to manage mistakes and personal accountability for life choices. The program serves at-risk youth from the Denver Metro Area, ranging in age from 9 to 16 years old. Participation in the program will inspire the youth to focus on furthering their lives through lesson learned only by sports participation. Involvement in sports provides opportunities that teach youth how positive decisions can lead to healthy, safe, productive lives.
