The primary work of the Community Foundation, serving Boulder County, is to make grants to community groups working in the areas of: The Arts, Civic Engagement, Education, The Environment, and Health and Human Services.

Through their Expanding Leadership Initiative (ELI), which is a program of The Community Foundation, their goal is to increase the number of people of color on staff and on boards in non-profit organizations and nurture multicultural leadership. The Community Foundation is continuing to work towards transformational change through ELI. ELI's youth development work happens in four primary areas: grants for Youth Leadership Development, Community Impact Internships, an Expanding Leadership Intern, and our Community Trust Youth Initiative.

The Boedecker Foundation supports the Community Foundation's Expanding Leadership Initiative for youth development in four primary areas: grants for Youth Leadership Development, Community Impact Internships, an Expanding Leadership Intern, and our Community Trust Youth Initiative.

"We really appreciate the support from the Boedecker Foundation for our work on Expanding Leadership.
I appreciate all the good work that you are doing in the whole community and look forward to taking a seat at the new Boedecker Theater."
