George B. Boedecker, Jr. is an entrepreneur and humanitarian as well as the principal Founder and creative force behind Crocs, Inc., where he served on the Board of Directors and as their Chief Executive Officer from July, 2002 through December, 2004. During his tenure, Crocs grew from an 8-person start up, into an industry giant. Once deemed the fastest growing footwear company on the planet, Mr. Boedecker's successes at Crocs culminated with the largest IPO in the history of the shoe industry.
Paving the way for his successes at Crocs, Mr. Boedecker served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of International Sales and Operations for the Quiznos Corporation in Canada. He is also a founder and managing member of Oregon Food Concepts LLC, a franchise sales and support company that owns and manages Quiznos franchise locations in Oregon and Washington. Prior to Quiznos, Mr. Boedecker was active with the Domino's Pizza Corporation, and was responsible for building and operating over 100 Domino's Pizza outlets in multiple states. In addition to Crocs, Boedecker has founded several other profitable businesses; including Boulder, Colorado based Thinkubate Marketing, Crocodile Distribution, and Crocodile Companies.
Aside from his various business success stories, Mr. Boedecker takes great pride in his philanthropic efforts, and in the amazing works being carried out by his Boulder, Colorado based nonprofit, The Boedecker Foundation. With a reach that extends globally, the mission of the Boedecker Foundation is to provide critical resources to nonprofit organizations that inspire positive change within communities around the world.
Through The Boedecker Foundation, Mr. Boedecker and his team have impacted the lives of literally thousands of children, their families and their communities. Through his efforts and contributions, over 50 nonprofit organizations have received funding in support of their work, including the Family Learning Center in Boulder Colorado, Kansas City-based The "Q" Fund working in Zambia Africa, and the completion of a community center and playgrounds in La Paz, Mexico through Youth Opportunities (YO!) Initiatives.
Mr. Boedecker was born in New York and currently resides in Boulder, Colorado. A graduate of Fairview High School in Boulder, he attended Eastern Montana University on a basketball scholarship and continued his studies at the University of Colorado. Boedecker has three grown children; Brianna, Sophia and Barron.
